Andy Robinson:
Andy has been working at Avid Solutions since 2004. He has 11 years of experience in process control. He cut his teeth on a large DeltaV system in a bulk chemicals plant south of Houston, TX. After joining Avid, he spent the next 1.5 years programming DeltaV batch logic in specialty chemicals and pharmaceuticals. Most of his time since 2006 has been spent getting his arms around IAS, Archestra, System Platform, and whatever the next name of it might be. He’s also developed a pretty good elevator speech on what exactly is System Platform.
Andy is also Archestra Certified along with being a VCP 4.0 (VMWare Certified Professional).
David Goodman:
David has been working at Avid since 2007. He has 3 years of experience working with IAS 2.1 & 3.0 in the pharmaceutical industry and is certified in IAS 3.1. Prior to working at Avid, he worked at an OEM which made machinery for bulk & discrete material handling systems. At the OEM, his primary focus was on designing the control systems, safety systems, and helping with conceptualizing the machines’ workflow. In total, he has over 6 years of experience working with PLCs, VFDs, electrical design, and higher level programming languages (VB6, C, C#, VB.NET, etc.). David graduated from NC State with a BS in Electrical Engineering and a BS in Computer Engineering.
