Avid Solutions Celebrates 100th Employee Milestone and Reveals Expansion Plans

WINSTON-SALEM, N.C., Nov. 10, 2015 - Avid Solutions, a global provider of automation, industrial IT and smart manufacturing solutions, is proud to announce it has hired its 100th employee, Reagan Howard, as the team's newest engineer. From 30 employees in 2004, this marks a significant growth milestone for the company as it has matured from a small, regional company with two North Carolina offices to a growing, international organization with additional offices in Atlanta and Sao Paulo, Brazil.

Howard is currently a dual-degree student at North Carolina State University at Raleigh, who will graduate in December with a Bachelor of Science in chemical engineering and Bachelor of Science in paper science. She will begin work at the Avid Solutions office in Atlanta in January 2016 where her studies and enthusiasm will be an invaluable addition across the various industries Avid Solutions serves, including chemical, food and beverage, life sciences, power generation, and pulp and paper.

"Avid Solutions reaching the 100th employee mark is a direct result of the continued expansion of our services," said Craig Davis, engineer with Avid Solutions. "Having been with Avid for more than 24 years, I've seen the company weather a few difficult periods. This employee growth signifies the true strength of the company culture and heightened demand from our long-term clientele."

"I've seen a lot of change at Avid over the years, and I couldn't be more proud to be a part of such an innovative team," said Paul Kautz, an instrument and controls technician and one of the first employees with Avid Solutions when the company started in 1987. "I am looking forward to where the company is heading. The growth we've experienced is a nod to both the reorganization the company made 15 years ago, and the strategic hires made since."

Avid Solutions anticipates a bright future with additional growth, while continuing to build strong relationships with clients, community, vendors, and employees. Additional key updates and expansion plans for the company include:

  • An expected 18 percent revenue growth rate with a total of 120-125 employees by end of 2016.
  • Continued movement into different industries in addition to the current core areas of chemical, food and beverage, life sciences, power generation and pulp and paper.
  • Expansion in depth and breadth of its Trusted Partner program, which currently includes an elite group of 18 industrial clients that depend on Avid as an extension of their teams.
  • Increased utilization of the company's EVO (Exploring Value Opportunities) process of developing solutions in direct response to the changing demands of its customers, including everything from developing process control systems to focusing on system integration, smart manufacturing, and Industrial IT.
